Baseball has been a lot of fun this year. Brock is on a team that is tied for 2nd place in his league, so we've had quite a few wins this summer. (Grant's team is winning a lot too :)) Anyway, at a game recently we were winning by A LOT...Brock usually plays the outfield during the games and does a great job. But this game, since we were winning by so much, the coach switched his infielders with his outfielders and Brock was able to play pitcher. He did AWESOME! A kid got up to bat and hit a line drive right at Brock and Brock just caught it like it was the easiest thing and then winged it to 1st to get the runner out that had been running on to 2nd! DOUBLE PLAY! Woo hoo! We were so proud that he remembered what to do and did it in an instant. He fielded a lot of balls in those few innings and did a great job, but that double play was pretty amazing. At the end of every game the coach gives a game ball to one of the players that did an exceptional job! It was Brock's night! The coach hollared at me to get my camera, so I ran to get it and then he gave his little speech for it and threw Brock the game ball...hard to get a good picture of when he was giving it, Brock is barely in the picture, but we got one holding it afterwards! Way to go Brock! We're so proud of you!
