The end of the fair brought the auction of 2 of Brock's lambs...known as Harvey and Harvey's brother! They both sold for good prices so Brock will have some money in his college fund soon...then came the cleaning out of the pens...and the realization that he was not going to see his lambs again...I thought I was prepared to deal with this...guess not. It is unbelievably hard to watch your child hurt and cry and essentially grieve for something and there's nothing you can do...we all cried at some point. By the time we left the fair, we were emotionally exhausted...by the time we got home...Brock had fallen asleep from all of the hoopla. After the fair, vacation truly began for us..no running out to do chores and working with lambs every day. The boys have done a zillion things, but "farming" has been at the top of the list. They especially enjoy cutting grass and using it to make hay fields...then mowing it, raking it, bailing it and then storing it. Decided I needed to capture a couple of pictures of that...they are so creative. I love it and I love watching them play.

The boys got to help Grandpa put away some straw (Daddy helped too) this past weekend. It was already baled, they just helped get it off of the wagon and into the haymow...I've never seen two boys who love to work as much as my boys do. They LOVE working on the farm...real or imaginary in our yard! Gotta love my farm boys.

Trish,
You should bring your farm boys out here someday and we'll take them out on our family's big farm! They would probably love seeing all the big ole John Deere's in action! I know Zach wanted to when my parents were last down! It's so nice to see pictures of you guys! I miss you!
